Planning On Emotions
I did some research about the emotions in the internet today. I found out different artist having different styles to show the emotions. However, I came up with my own ideas of making emotions with different poses. I began by drawing sketches of the anger traditionally in a character pose.
Similarly, I sketched character poses with happy emotions. Following the emotions, I also made some more sketches of characters with sad emotions.
I used the quick sketch technique, i also used the head measurement techniques while drawing the characters. I used some new techniques of making figures and characters. Everything was amazing. I enjoyed the process a lot.
Following from our tutorial today, I would like to see YOUR 6 characters with information on each one (their backstory / role in the animation and a breakdown of their emotions/expression)
ReplyDeleteYou are currently working on a storyboard on Photoshop, I want to see this on your blog, take screen shots as you work to show your process.
You need to finalise a clear story for the animation so your characters have a sense of place and story. This is not evident anywhere... what is the animation? Is it a film still or a series? Where is it set?
Sam has been asking for this evidence on your blog for weeks, please update your blog with these essential posts.
This research isn't very deep - 'I researched emotions on the internet' - where are your sources? What is your reference? Other animators or film makers? Painters or printmakers? As stated in other comments by Jeanette, this is the basic information that you should have sourced in Week 3 or 4 but are still not making any inroads into your background research. There is still so much to be done which is very concerning.
ReplyDeleteYou need to establish immediately the following:
Backstory
Role of each character
Colour Palette (colours and links to emotions)
Title and target market
