Initial Ideas and Character Design Development about "Joy"

Today I did some research on emotion called "Joy". I wanted to find someone who could match the quality I wanted to add in the character that I wanted to create. While going through internet, i found an actress named "Priyanka Chopra". She is a very talented actress and producer, and she has been an inspiration to many people. She has a strong and independent personality which I wanted to add in my character. Since my childhood, I always admired her. Her beauty, style and fashion sense helped me more on developing my character.

I opened Photoshop and created a new canvas of 2000x3000 frame size in pixel in a portrait layout. Then I designed my character with a neutral pose as below.

After the pose, I drew the overall outline of the character. I started with the face as always. I drew the body. About the dress, I did not take any help from internet, I designed the outfit by myself. However, my character turned out to be beautiful.

I then colored the drawing. Nevertheless, my final outcome will be on the main blogs of characters' backstories.
