Art Portfolio Two: Welcome Back
Welcome to my "Art Portfolio Term Two" blog! I can't wait to tell you what I have planned for this term and how I want to improve it from last term.
I've learned the value of pushing beyond my comfort zone as a result of previous experiences. Although I did some excellent work last term, I felt like I could have done more. I only stayed to what I was comfortable with. So this term, I've decided to challenge myself by exploring various techniques and mediums. In my work, I want to play around with different methods, try my hand at digital art, and even traditional mediums . I intend to do this in order to increase my skill set and develop truly unique and surprising works.
Another new thing that I'm going to do this term is to document my artistic process more thoroughly. Last term, I found myself rushing through my work and not taking the time to reflect on what I was doing. This time around, I'm going to take more time to sketch out ideas, make notes about my thought process, and document my progress along the way. I believe that this will help me to be more focused with my work and eventually create stronger pieces.
This term what I'm really excited about is exploring 2D animation software that allows for more traditional hand-drawn animation techniques. While I love the ease of working in 3D software, I feel that my animation style could benefit from a more organic approach. By using 2D software, I can create more dynamic and expressive character animations that are rooted in traditional animation principles.
Another area that I'm looking to improve in is my storytelling skills. As an animator, I know that a strong story is important in creating compelling and emotionally resonant animation. This term, I'm going to focus on developing my skills as a storyteller by creating short films and animations that have clear, concise narratives.
Finally, I'm going to take more risks with my art this term. I often hold back from really pushing the boundaries of what I can do, but I know that if I want to continue to grow as an artist, I need to take more risks. This means being more experimental with my compositions and not being afraid to make mistakes.
Overall, I'm excited to see where this term takes me as an animator. By challenging myself to explore new mediums, documenting my process more thoroughly, and taking more risks with my work, I'm confident that I'll produce pieces that are even better than last term.
Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I look forward to sharing my progress with you all!
Good first post, Bibek! Showing more development of your project this time around is important too, keep your blog updated with everything you are working on - sketches, notes, research elements, everything you look at for this project should be documented.
