Development and 'ERROR': Hero and Heroine

I started a craetive jounrey that led me to design a hero and heroine inspired by the wonders of the ocean. With bulkey-muscled hero and a mermaid-like heroine, my artistic vision took shape both on paper and digitally in Photoshop. Unfortunetley, my laptop encountered technical problems, resulting in the loss of all my files. Nevertheless, the process and emotions I experience during the early development of these characters are worth sharing.

The first step in giving life to my characters was through sketching. I took a pencil and a sketch book and allowed my imagination to run wild. I started by drawing the armature of the female body with a alluring pose. Then I started to give her a face. As, I am from Nepal, I tried to give her a face with the essence of Nepalese girls. After give her face a structure, I worked on her body. As, I was working on her human form at the beginning, I gave her two legs to make the proper posture for a human. Her pose came out to be mesmerizing. Later, I decided to give her the tails and the body of mermaid as the theme of my project was Oceanic. You can see the images below to walk along with my process.

After working for hours, I finally designed the preferred look for the Heroine.

After the creation of Mermaid. I dived into making the Main character, the hero of my story. As like the mermaid, I started by making an armature sketch in the blank paper. I started to give my armature the facial structure that resemble me. Then I started the torso of the character, I added some bulky muscles to the character too. I gave him bulky shoulders and a heroic pose. The pose gave him an iconic speciality. I wanted to make the character have features of me which I was able to portray in the designing process.
I was too focused in the designing process that I forgot to take the photos during the process.

Nevertheless, I also worked on Photoshop to work on them digitally like rest of my characters. I created my outlines and everything went well during the process. I enjoyed alot. Sadly, the universe had a different plans for my creation. My laptop encountered technical difficulties, resulting in the loss of all my files. The moment of realization hit me like a tidal wave of the ocean leaving me crestfallen. The hours of work, the passion infused into every stroke, seemed lost forever. It was a setback that teted my resilence and dedication. However, I believe that everything happens in life for a reason. I hope, I will be able to bring out a better outcome by the end of my term.

Despite the loss of my digital files, the experience itself was not in vain. The process of creating these oceanic heroes allowed me to explore my creativity, pushing boudaries and sharping my skills. The emotional connection I had established with these characters was not erased by the laptop malfunction.

Creating those characters from sketches to digital art was an amazing experience that allowed me to dive deep into the world of imagination.
